Messages and Friday Whisper now show up in Alerts

A private message now leaves an in-app alert and can email you, the same way gathering invites already do. A new Friday Whisper also appears in Alerts, and Friday Whisper, Sabbath Map, and For Leaders keep their links in one bar across the top.

After a deep debugging pass on LiveKit tokens, room creation, hangout detail pages, and host controls, hangouts are solid. You can create one, go live, invite people, and they can join without the old 404s or invalid-token failures. Hosts can end or delete cleanly, and the whole path is instrumented so problems surface fast.

Gathering invites: notifications and email now reliable

The first release of friend invites didn’t always deliver: some people never saw an in-app notification or invite email—especially on repeat sends while an invite was still pending, or when the server couldn’t use a privileged database key. We shipped fixes so each send can notify as expected, invite emails are awaited through delivery, and the database can record notifications using the host’s normal session.

Host flow: smarter time zone when you create a gathering

The time zone field now starts with your device clock (aligned with the header), fixes a display bug when the selected zone didn’t match the control, and uses search so you can still pick any region when you need to.

The World is Open

Sabbath Together just got a lot bigger. Gatherings can now be created and discovered from anywhere in the world—and the homepage now shows you exactly where people are celebrating Sabbath.

  A stunning 3D interactive globe now greets visitors on the homepage, showing every public gathering ever hosted on Sabbath Together. Spin it, explore it, and feel the scope of what this community is becoming. A live activity list sits alongside it so you can see what's happening right now.

• Worldwide Location Support

  Gatherings and profiles are no longer limited to the United States. You can now create or join gatherings anywhere in the world. Non-US hosts get a City/Region text field instead of a state picker, and the map uses a globe projection so every location renders beautifully.

• Customizable Reminder Emails

  Event pages

  Gathering hosts can now fully personalize the reminder emails sent to attendees—choose the send mode, write a custom subject line, and craft a personal message. Dynamic tokens like {{event_title}} automatically fill in the right details. You can even fire off a test email to yourself before it goes out.

• Built for Community on the Homepage

  The homepage now features a new 'Built for Community' section showcasing everything Sabbath Together has to offer: the Planner, Tracker, Journal, custom gathering pages, messaging, and reminders—all laid out in one clear, welcoming section for first-time visitors.

• Sabbath Wall Moderation Polish

  Improved

  The Sabbath Wall moderation interface got a visual refresh—cleaner layout, sharper typography, clearer action labels, and more prominent feedback messages to make managing the Wall smoother.

  Gatherings now feature stunning animated background patterns. Choose from spectacular or classic styles, and backgrounds dynamically adapt to your chosen gathering color. SVG patterns were simplified for better performance, and all animations respect reduced-motion accessibility preferences.

  The color selection UI in gathering customization got a major upgrade—more colors to choose from and a much smoother picking experience. Your gathering, your vibe.

• Invite-Only Event Badge

• Mobile Browse by Category Redesign

• Event Visibility & Date Filtering Fix

  Fixed inconsistencies in which gatherings appeared on the Dashboard, Gatherings page, and Discover page. Past gatherings are now properly filtered everywhere, and all three pages stay perfectly in sync.

Apple, Google, and Facebook sign-in are all available and working! Logging in and sharing gatherings with others just got even easier—invite friends and have them join your Sabbath gatherings in seconds.

Sabbath Planner

Plan your Sabbath with a dedicated planner: see gatherings on a calendar, add them to your plan, and keep track of what you're attending. Find it in the app under Planner.

Sabbath Tracker

Use the Sabbath Tracker as a journal: write reflections and notes about your Sabbath, record prayers, and note how and when they're answered. It becomes a lasting reminder of God's faithfulness. You can still see what you did (activities and timeline)—we're actively optimizing this feature and would love your feedback.
